I was born in Sri Lanka and now live and work in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Since graduating with a degree in Fine & Applied Arts from the University of Ulster in 1998, I have been a full-time artist and arts facilitator, dedicated to a practice that continues to evolve and diversify. Originally trained as a printmaker, my work has expanded to encompass mixed media, sculpture, and installation art, working across both two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to receive several awards and have exhibited my work widely in solo and group shows, both locally and internationally. My art is part of numerous public and private collections, reflecting its resonance with a broad audience. Alongside my studio practice, I am passionate about sharing creativity through workshops and collaborative projects, fostering connections and encouraging others to explore artistic expression.
My work is deeply influenced by my surroundings and heritage, often experimenting with materials and methods to create pieces that are both visually striking and rich in meaning. This balance of innovation and tradition underpins my ongoing journey as an artist.
