Passages is a seminal multidisciplinary exhibition by Anushiya Sundaralingam. Through a complex layering of mixed media, print, and installation, the work explores the intersections of her Sri Lankan Tamil heritage and her lived experience in Northern Ireland.
In this body of work, Sundaralingam utilizes the metaphor of 'the passage' to examine the transitional spaces of migration. The exhibition features tactile, skeletal forms and intricate textures that serve as visceral markers of memory and resilience. By deconstructing and reassembling organic materials, Passages offers a profound meditation on how we navigate the boundaries between the past and the present, the personal and the political.
